LUNCH :

Lunch can be anything from a sandwich to an occasion for celebration and as such we present several alternatives.
To a large part of our world, one of the favorite choices is pizza. I personally have never been a big fan of pizza, I enjoy the toppings, the crust is just a vehicle to hold all the meat I want to pile on top, with very little to no sauce.
My favorite restaurant pizza has always been Numero Uno, where the only tomato was fresh tomato on top and they coated the pizza crust with olive oil and spices and cooked it first and then added the toppings.
Here however we have a cross between my favorite and Numerous Uno. Looks great, but has very few carbs and not a lot of tomato. Click Here for the crust recipe. See below for more lunch choices.
What makes keto lunches delicious and healthy?

Keto lunches can be both satisfying and beneficial due to a combination of factors:
Flavor and satiety:
Emphasis on healthy fats:
The keto diet encourages consumption of fats like avocados, olive oil, nuts, and fatty fish, which add richness and flavor to meals. These fats also contribute to a feeling of fullness and satisfaction, reducing cravings between meals.
Creative use of herbs and spices:

Keto doesn’t mean bland! A wide variety of herbs and spices are carb-free and can significantly enhance the flavor of dishes.
Versatility of ingredients:
Meat, fish, eggs, and non-starchy vegetables like broccoli, bell peppers, and zucchini are staples of the keto diet and offer a vast range of culinary possibilities.
Reduced cravings:
By stabilizing blood sugar and insulin levels, the keto diet can help reduce hunger and cravings, making it easier to stick to healthy choices and appreciate the flavors of whole foods, says MedPark Hospital.

Health benefits:
Weight loss:
The keto diet promotes weight loss by shifting the body’s metabolism to burn fat for energy instead of glucose, leading to a state of ketosis.
Blood sugar control:

Restricting carbohydrates helps lower blood sugar and insulin levels, making the keto diet potentially beneficial for individuals with type 2 diabetes or prediabetes.
Improved heart health:
Focusing on healthy fats and whole foods can positively impact cholesterol levels by potentially reducing “bad” LDL cholesterol and increasing “good” HDL cholesterol.
Potential for improved brain function:
Some studies suggest that the ketogenic diet’s impact on ketone levels in the brain may have neuroprotective effects and improve cognitive function, particularly in older adults.
In Summary:
A well-planned keto lunch can be a delicious and satisfying experience while supporting various health goals, including weight loss, blood sugar control, and improved cardiovascular health. Remember to consult with a healthcare professional before making significant dietary changes, especially if you have underlying health conditions or take medications.
