Cuisine American
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella
- 2 eggs Fried (in an egg ring works well)
- 1 Tbsp almond flour
- 1 Tbsp sugar free syrup *I use @choczero
- 1 Sausage Patty Cooked
In a bowl, mix together:
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella
1 egg
1 Tbsp almond flour
1 Tbsp sugar free syrup *I use @choczero
Add half of the mixture to a greased mini waffle maker *do not preheat.
Cook 2-3 minutes and then remove.
Immediately add a slice of American cheese to the chaffle so it can melt somewhat.
Cook remaining chaffle mixture in the mini waffle maker for another 2-3 minutes.
Cook one egg sunny side up in a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
Add the egg to your sandwich along with a cooked sausage patty.
Drizzle on some more syrup if desired and top it with the 2nd chaffle.
My favorite syrup to use that really brings out the best maple syrup taste is this Lakanto maple flavored sugar-free syrup. SO good!
Since the pancake batter makes more than enough for one sandwich, I usually make 4-5 sandwiches out of one batch and freeze them for the upcoming week.
For the perfect sandwich size bun, You can use the Dash Mini Waffle Maker if you have one of those.
You can also make this keto McGriddle with bacon, ham, or just spinach and mushrooms if you’re vegetarian.
One sausage patty works fin on the McGriddle. Fresh ground sausage for the patties, but you can also grab pre-made sausage patties from the grocery store instead to save time.
